February Wrap Up

February’s reading has been the complete opposite of January’s. If I had kept up the pace like I did in January, this month would have seen me hit 20 books for the year already. Instead, I only read 3 (although technically 2, because I finished Red Rising on the 2nd, but I only had 20 pages left!). I’m quite disappointed with how little I read this month. I was planning to have a great month of reading a ton of historical fiction books on my shelves but that has not happened at all. I fell into a reading slump and just couldn’t seem to pull myself out of it. I’m hoping that March will be better but I do have an exam coming up so we’ll see!

In other news, February was fairly busy. It’s such a short month and I had so much to cram into it. I started it off with an accounting exam, finished a different accounting module, it was my sisters birthday, we went to see Hamilton on the West End (review here!) and then I finished the month in Iceland with my boyfriend where we celebrated our 5 year anniversary from the 25th Feb-1st March!

Reading total: 3         Books this year: 12

I’m definitely hoping to push that reading total up to 5 or 6 at the very least in March. Perhaps I’ll get to those historical fiction books that I so desperately wanted to read in February!

Onto the books I read this month:

Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli – What a book! The ending of this one made me so incredibly happy.

The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu – I was sent this for review and as it was relatively short, I went and skimmed pretty much the whole book. I had seen it before but with a different cover and kept thinking ‘is this the book I think it is?’ and it was!

Red Rising by Pierce Brown – I finally read this one! It took me about a month to read it because slumps suck but I liked it!

So there’s my second wrap up of 2018! How many books did you read this month? Did you have a good or bad reading month?

    1. Oh definitely. I kind of knew what to expect because I had seen the movie trailer which spurred me on to reading it. I really managed to get through it fairly quickly as I enjoyed it so much. I’m glad you liked it too! 🙂

  1. I think I am going to have to finally pick up the Simon book as I have heard nothing but great things. Hope you have a great reading month in March 🙂
