WWW Wednesday: October 24th

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted Taking on a World of Words that I thought would be fun to get involved with. It involves answering three WWW questions about reading.

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue which I haven’t picked up for the last few weeks. I reached the 100 page mark just before I pressed pause on reading it so I’ve been wanting to pick it back up. Since I’ve read the two books I really wanted to get read this month, I finally can. I’m also reading The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon at the moment. I’m currently trying to stick to my plan of one chapter a day but that doesn’t quite seem to be happening…

What did you recently finish reading?

Since my last post, I finished The Witch of Willow Hall which I quite enjoyed (review up on Friday). I’m not really big on horror movies or anything of the horror genre so avoid anything scary at all times, but October is the one month where I’ll actually consider reading anything a little creepy or spooky. I thought that this book offered the right amount of spooky for me. It does feature ghosts which I’ll admit, they do freak me out a hell of a lot, but I was fine with this (or rather, I was fine when I was reading the book in daylight).

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m looking to read The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy but I also want to read The Sisters of the Winter Wood, Sawkill Girls andGirls of Paper and Fire. I definitely won’t be able to read all of those though because I have an exam the later half of this week!
