This year has been quite a weak reading year for me. At the beginning of the year, I’d really been hoping to smash last years goal and read 70-80 books. Unfortunately, that’s not likely to happen this year due to the exams and studying I’ve been doing for the majority of 2018.
I had been hoping to have finished my studies in July but alas, I failed some exams and now have some resits. Basically, I ruined my own Autumn/Winter reading time.
This list will be fairly short seeing as Winter is Coming (Can you tell that I’ve been watching plenty of episodes of Game of Thrones recently..) but these are the books I’d like to read before the season is out!
1. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
2. The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
3. The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee
4. Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan
5. Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand
6. Fawkes by Nadine Brandes
That’s four 2018 releases and two 2017 books. I have actually started the first two books on this list already so I’d definitely like to get those finished. I do feel like it may be a bit ambitious trying to read 6 books between now and the start of Winter so we’ll see. It’s especially ambitious because I have my (hopefully) last exam on the 19th November so I actually won’t be reading that much until that exam is out of the way.
Do you have any books you want to read this Autumn? Have you read any of the books on my list or do you plan to?
