March Wrap Up

March has been a whirlwind of a month. At the end of February/beginning of March, I was offered a new job. I feel like I then had the busiest month of the year so far. I attended the V. E. Schwab signing for The Near Witch at the Forbidden Planet store in London where I met some fab friends and made some new ones. I met up with friends and started running at the weekend again too.

I’ve read some really good books this month, which has made me quite happy. I am not sure how many I will read in April, but I’d really like to read the same amount that I read in March or more.

Monthly reading total: 5 ||  Books this year: 13/30

Books Read:

  1. Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

The Near Witch by V. E. Schwab

  2. On the Come Up by Angie Thomas
  3. City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
  4. Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
  5. The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston

After a rather disappointing reading month in February, I feel like I have done much better and am quite happy with the amount of books I’ve read in March. I’m also slowly edging closer to my goal and am way ahead of schedule for my Goodreads challenge which I’m very happy about.

Reading Goals for Last Month:

  1. City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
  2. Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
  3. Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
  4. The Near Witch by V. E. Schwab

TBR books read? 3/4.

Last month, I said I wanted to cut my monthly TBR down due to the fact I usually stray from the list and because I felt I wasn’t giving myself enough room to read whatever takes my fancy. Last month, I read 1 book from my TBR. This month, I’ve read the majority of them so I think the method of putting 2-4 books on a monthly TBR has worked really well and I will definitely be giving myself shorter TBRs from now on.

April TBR:

So for April, I am hosting #ARCAttack over on twitter. It is running for the whole of April and I recently wrote a post on my TBR which can be found here. I have a total of 12 books on my list and while it is extremely unlikely that I will read that many books, I’ll give it a good go.

The benefit to having a list that long is that I do have a bit of freedom in what I choose depending on what mood I am in. Plus, there are some fantastic books on my #ARCAttack TBR that I am really looking forward to reading!

I hope some of you will be able to join in for #ARCAttack, I’d love to see some of you joining in!

What books are on your TBR for April?
