WWW Wednesday: 20/2

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted Taking on a World of Words that I thought would be fun to get involved with. It involves me answering three WWW questions about my reads.

This past week has been slightly disastrous in terms of reading however, I do have a reason for why I haven’t finished anything and that’s because I was in Krakow, Poland for a long weekend away with my boyfriend! The only opportunities I had to read was on the plane there and back as we were out and about every day.

What are you currently reading?

I’m still reading Priory. I can’t wait to finally get this one off my TBR/currently reading as I’ve been reading it for almost a month now. Work and life has got in the way of me reading this one but hopefully I’ll be able to read the majority of it or even finish it by its release date next week. I’m also reading City it Glass which I started on the plane last Wednesday so I’m just under half way through that too.

What did you recently finish reading?

….nothing. I’m so sad I don’t have an answer for this question this week!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not sure to be honest. I’m focusing on finishing both my current reads at the moment but I’d like to read another Cassie Clare book, Truly Devious and/or Muse of Nightmares.

I haven’t done a WWW Wednesday for a few weeks as after my great month of reading in January, I’ve definitely slipped in February. I blame Priory of the Orange Tree to be honest..

What are you currently reading?

I’m still reading Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. I finally reached part 2 of it but I’m still in the first half of the book. I really need to get a move on with this one before it’s release at the end of February! Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

What did you recently finish reading?

I have actually managed to finish one book in February so far, despite the fact I’ve been trying to get through the beast that is Priory. I read Heartstopper by Alice Oseman and absolutely flew through it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m going away today for a long weekend to Poland so I’m taking City of Glass by Cassandra Clare as it’s much shorter than Priory so it’s easier to take on the plane but also because I’m meeting Cassie on the 22nd February at a signing. I do want to finish Priory but it’s so big, I know it’ll take me until the end of the month to finish it!

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted Taking on a World of Words that I thought would be fun to get involved with. It involves answering three WWW questions about reading.

My first WWW Wednesday of 2019 is here! I’ve been having a fairly decent month of reading so far but I’m a little worried that my streak is going to run out soon. I had a fairly bad second half of the year in regards to my reading so I’m really hoping I can avoid slumps this year. I’ve definitely had enough of them!

What are you currently reading?

I’ve finally made a start on The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. I was super lucky to be sent a copy of this book, thanks to Bloomsbury. I still can’t quite believe I was sent it, if I’m honest. It’s quite a large book, but thanks to there being several sections, I’ve tabbed them all to make Priory look more manageable! It definitely doesn’t look as intimidating once all the sections are separated!

What did you recently finish reading?

Since I last did a WWW Wednesday, I’ve finished quite a few books. I’ll only mention my most recent finished book though and that is Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus. It’s a sequel-not-sequel following her popular debut, One of Us is Lying.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I think this is the first WWW Wednesday in ages I haven’t said Priory because I’m finally picking it up. Priory is a rather large book so I doubt I’ll have much to update you on next week, but I also don’t know what I want to read alongside it/after. I am thinking of reading Circle of Shadows whilst I read Priory though!

What are you currently reading?

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

I’m still reading this book but I am over half way through it now with the aim to have it finish by the end of this evening. I’m quite enjoying it and think I prefer it more to the Days of Blood and Starlight series.

What did you recently finish reading?

I haven’t finished a book since I finished The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue the other week but hopefully I’ll have finished Strange the Dreamer this evening!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I want to read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens on Christmas Eve which is next Tuesday so I will definitely be reading that this week. I’d also like to pick up The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I’ll be starting End of Yearathon on Boxing Day so I’ll mostly be gearing up for that over the next week and trying to read some of books from my December TBR.

That’s it for this week! Stay tuned for next week’s post which will be going up on Christmas Day! I wasn’t sure whether to post on Christmas Day but decided to go ahead and do it to keep up the consistency of Blogmas.

What are you guys reading? What have you recently finished?

This is on my December TBR so I’m glad I’m working towards crossing off the first book on my TBR for the month on my list. I feel like I might finally be starting to come out of a reading slump so hopefully I’ll be able to finish it by the end of the weekend.

What did you recently finish reading?

Finally I have an answer to this! This is the first time in like, two months that I’ve been able to say that I’ve actually finished a book. I finished reading The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue. After starting it in September or October (I can’t even remember when I started it), I’ve finally finished it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Depending on how I feel after Strange the Dreamer, I plan to read The Sisters of the Winter Wood or The Night Circus. I’d also like to make a decent dent in The Priory of the Orange Tree. That’s a lot to cover in one week for me though, but we shall see. I’d definitely like to read one of them.

That’s it for this week’s WWW. I’m so glad that I was able to give you guys a proper update this week after not giving one for so long now. Hopefully I’ll be able to update you guys having finished another book next week!

What are you currently reading?

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

My reading slump has continued in full force since I finished my (hopefully) last exam so I still haven’t read anything. I have read more of Gentleman’s Guide though, and I am actually planning to read some more of it tonight. I have less than 100 pages left of it now, so I don’t know why I haven’t finished it yet.

What did you recently finish reading?

Uhhhhhh so nothing…I hate reading slumps. I’m going to try and watch some YouTube videos to try and pick me up out of it but I definitely feel like I’ve fallen down a very long reading hole that I’m struggling to get out of.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I definitely want to pick up Strange the Dreamer again. I’m about 50 pages through it so that’s a book I’d like to finish this month for sure. I then have all the books on my December TBR so I then want to make some progress through that. We’ll see though, it depends if I make it out of this reading slump or not..

Hopefully I’ll have a proper update for you all on what I’m reading next week! Have a great reading week!

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted Taking on a World of Words that I thought would be fun to get involved with. It involves answering three WWW questions about reading.

What are you currently reading?

I’m still reading the same three books I have been for the last week. However, after Friday that is due to change seeing as I will (hopefully) have no more exams for the rest of the year. I really want to finish two of the three books I’m currently reading which are:

  1. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
  2. The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

I am definitely looking to finish Gentleman’s Guide over the weekend and hopefully I’ll make a good dent in Strange the Dreamer!

What did you recently finish reading?

Just like last week, I haven’t finished anything this week but I am really hoping to have two books in this section next week to make up for this week!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Well I definitely want to make a proper start on The Priory of the Orange Tree. It’s my aim to have that book finished by the end of the year so we shall see. I feel like it’s a book you can’t really take out the house because it’s honestly the size of a brick!

As well as reading that, I’d really like to start a book I took out the library which is The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I’ve seen a hell of a lot about this book over the internet and it sounds like the perfect book to satisfy my murder mystery craving. I’m especially interested to see how I react to an adult murder mystery. As you all can see, I really love YA and rarely read adult fiction so this will be a change for me.

Let’s hope next week I have a proper update for you all on what I’m reading! Have a great reading week!
