This week, especially this past weekend, has been a surprise and I definitely didn’t expect to have read two books in such quick succession! I think it just proves how much I enjoyed them both. I also now finally understand the hype!

This last week hasn’t consisted of much except me working, reading and trying to just catch up with life in general. I feel like I’ve fallen behind on so much, including reading and blogging so I’m really just trying to catch up now! So many reviews and books, so little time!

What are you currently reading?

I picked up Nevernight by Jay Kristoff on Sunday so I’m making my way through that currently. This is actually a re-read for me as I really needed a refresher before I read both Godsgrave and Darkdawn. I’m planning to read this series back to back.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished both A Curse So Dark and Lonely and A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer at the weekend. I finished Curse on my lunch break on Friday and then I picked up Heart on Friday and got to just under 300 pages that evening!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Once I’ve finished Nevernight, the plan is to read Godsgrave and then Darkdawn. I don’t think I’ll be able to finish them all over the next week, especially as I have a really busy weekend ahead of me, but I am hoping to get through them fairly quickly!

I haven’t done a WWW Wednesday in a little while. In fact, I think I posted maybe once in August? My reason for this is that I had an exam which I really wanted and needed to concentrate on so blogging took a back seat!

As a result of my exam, I didn’t read much in August so I thought it was a little pointless to update you on my reading when I basically wasn’t doing any at all!

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading A Curse So Dark and Lonely which I’ve heard so many good things about. I’ve only just picked it up so I’m excited to see what I think of it and whether it lives up to the hype!

I’m also reading We Hunt the Flame but I’ll be honest, I’m just not that into it at the moment so I’m taking a break from it to read other things that will hopefully get me out of my slump before going back to it.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab yesterday which I really enjoyed. It’s such a quick read!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m picking up my copy of Darkdawn at the weekend so my plan is to read all three of the Nevernight books back to back and get that series finished!

This last week hasn’t been full of a lot of reading, if I’m totally honest! I have an exam in two weeks time which I am now panicking over so that’s become my priority over reading. However, I have been reading on my lunch breaks at work to try and give myself a bit of a break!

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone but have about 20 pages left of that. I’m still reading We Hunt the Flame and probably will be until after my exam when I have enough time to really dedicate to it.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished Mooncakes last week which is such a cute comic that comes out in October!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I want to finish We Hunt the Flame more than anything, but my reading plans for the month involve reading Nevernight, Godsgrave and A Curse So Dark and Lonely!

I was away from Wednesday to Monday for YALC this week so I haven’t actually read very much this week! The last two years that I’ve been to YALC, I’ve always ended up in a slump so I’m hoping that won’t be the case this year as I do feel more motivated to read however, I did pick up some illness from YALC so haven’t done any reading since I got back because of it! Let’s hope this next week is better than the one just gone!

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading We Hunt the Flame still. As I was away last week, I didn’t read anymore of it. I’ve also picked up Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and a graphic novel due out later this year called Mooncakes!

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished A Girl Called Shameless by Laura Steven on the train to and from London. I saved it especially for my journey down and also managed to get this one signed at YALC.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I really don’t know at the moment. I’ve got a couple of books on my August TBR but need to sit down and look at it properly so that I can plan my N.E.W.T.’s TBR. I also have an exam coming up in the next 3 weeks, so my TBR is really dependant on what I think I’ll actually be able to read whilst also revising for my exam!

I’ve been waiting literally all year for this weekend coming and it’s almost here! I’m actually heading down to London today ready for YALC this weekend. But first, I’m going to the Harry Potter Studio Tour for my fifth visit, but it’s my first going with friends. I’m so excited! I went almost exactly a year ago for my birthday, which you can find my post on here, and since, they’ve added the Gringotts Bank section so I’m really looking forward to seeing that.

So, I’m away from today and then I’m going back home on Monday morning, so I doubt I’ll actually get a lot of reading done but I’m planning to read on the train to and from London, so at least there’s that!

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading We Hunt the Flame which I wanted to have read before I went away for YALC but I was so busy this weekend just gone what with it being my birthday! I’m also reading A Girl Called Shameless by Laura Steven as the author will be at YALC this weekend so I’m reading it on the train down to London.

What did you recently finish reading?

I’ve not finished anything this week, sadly!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m planning to read either Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid or Nevernight by Jay Kristoff which will be a reread for me! Of course, it depends what I pick up at YALC as there might be books I get there that are more of a priority!

This week I’ve read a fairly decent amount, if I do say so myself. I didn’t take full advantage of the weekend for reading but I did manage to get through some graphic novels instead. I’m hoping that I can keep up this momentum for reading but I do really need to start concentrating on revising for my first ACCA exam that I’ll be sitting in August. It’s probably come at a good time as YALC usually puts me in a bit of a reading slump so I can really focus on my exam. But then, I might use reading as a way to procrastinate from revising…who knows?

I’m not sure how much reading I will get done over the next week in all honesty because it’s actually my birthday in two days (19th) and so I have plans all day, although I think I can sneak in a bit of audiobook listening, and then I do have some plans for the weekend. We’ll see how much I can get done but I definitely want to finish my current read over the next week!

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faisal. I wasn’t sure what I was quite in the mood for but it’s on my July TBR and it’s out within the first week of August so I decided to pick it up now. I want to have it finished before YALC as I don’t really want to take it down with me, but also I don’t want to have to put it down half way through and go away for 5 days as I know I’ll find it harder to pick back up again after a short break.

What did you recently finish reading?

Over the last week, I read The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh, which I read the majority of (save for 33 pages) in one evening – the writing is just so addictive! I also read Heartstopper Vol 2. by Alice Oseman and Teen Titans: Raven by Kami Garcia.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I actually only have one YALC book on my TBR for July which I’m planning to read when I go down on the train to London, if I haven’t picked it up before, and that is A Girl Called Shameless by Laura Steven. The last book on my July TBR is Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone which I need to read in order to complete my O.W.L.’s ready for the N.E.W.T.’s in August. Both readathons are hosted by BookRoast on Youtube.

Over the last week, I’ve actually read a fair amount! I’m quite happy that I’ve essentially made up for about a week of not reading anything by reading 3 this week. Here’s to hoping I can keep that up for the next few weeks, especially with YALC coming up!

What are you currently reading?

I just picked up The Rose and the Dagger by Renée Ahdieh last night after I finished The Wrath and the Dawn.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished S.T.A.G.S. by MA Bennett and I have to say, I didn’t enjoy it anywhere near as much as I thought I would which was disappointing. I then read Book Love by Debbie Tung, which was a cute book full of bookish cartoons. I then finished The Wrath and the Dawn just last night!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Depending on when I finish my current read, I’ll be moving onto We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faisal which is released in the UK in August. I want to read it before I head to YALC, ideally.
